The Chair of Trustees
Responsible For
  • Support, direction and co-ordination of Youth Work Activities delivered by 4Youth.
  • Management responsibility for the Youth Work operational teams including volunteers and peer mentors.
  • Professional supervision for Lead Youth Workers and Co-ordinators; and oversight of professional supervision of all other operational staff and volunteers.

Liaison With
  • Local voluntary organisations & associated providers including schools and the Local Youth Networks
  • Youth work colleagues locally
  • Related organisations and other professional staff
  • Local councils including parish, town, county and Area Boards
  • Other stakeholders including funding partners
  • Trustees

4Youth (South West) is a growing charity based in the Wiltshire Market Town of Wiltshire who are looking for a Youth Work Development Manager.

This new post creates an exciting opportunity for a creative thinker to help us shape and develop our youth work offer, not just in the existing localities of Melksham, Atworth, Chippenham and Westbury but also in new communities.

Experienced in attracting project funding to support your work you will have the opportunity lead our youth work team as they develop a fun, supportive, safe and inclusive offer which attracts and retains young people to motivate them and raise their aspirations.

This is a 0.5 position based at The Canberra Centre in Melksham but will require paid travel to other locations. Evening and occasional weekend working will be required. Salary £28,000 FTE (£14,000 for 0.5 position).
